November brings with it a sense of magic and mystery, the skies darken, the temperature drops, frost clings to morning windows, the smell in the air is crisp with pine and the coming of snow. My reading list for the month is four books strong, a wide range too; from sci-fi horror, to love and books, to magical conclusions.
A Conjuring Of Light by V.E. Schwab
I have been putting off the conclusion to this trilogy for some time, because truth be told I don’t want it to end. But since November brings with it the sense of magic and wonder, I simply have to get a magical book in the mix. No better excuse now, must conclude this epic journey.
The Little Sleep by Paul Tremblay
October had me binging all of his horror novels like a fiend. I absolutely adored them, and this series caught my attention because, narcoleptic PI? How is that not immediately interesting. I truly love Tremblay’s writing, and I love detectives/Private Investigators, so this is a treat for the Thanksgiving month.
Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Another series I have to finish, this is the second book in the trilogy and I do love the notion of a cozy, sci-fi mystery horror on the dark nights to come in this month. I’ll most likely want to jump right into book three, so this book might actually change the trajectory of my reading list. We will see.
How To Find Love In A Bookshop by Veronica Henry
Since it is the cozy, magical month, and I just generally want to lose myself in an independent, used book store (dream job would be owning one!) this book should do jus the trick to give me some snuggly good feels as we go into December. And, given that my previous month was purely horror focused, I thought a sweet and charming tale might be just the right dose of happy for the season.
