While always on the lookout for inspiration I stumble across some artists who on occasion, make me want to write something following a piece of their work. Having recently moved from Illinois to California I am having a hard time getting back into the groove of writing. The decompression from logic is taking a little bit longer than I would have hoped, so I went on a little escapade into the realm of art and music in search of someone to get me back into the mood and thankfully found some.
LostFish artist (otherwise known as Elodie) is a beautiful woman born in the south of France who creates images of women/girls and captures that in between area between childhood and sensuality. The colors are muted but speak volumes in their soft exposure of flesh and bone and humanity. I look at her characters, want to see them transformed into exquisite dolls and placed in stop motion animation so that I can really see them move. In reality I could see her young woman being turned into ball jointed dolls and becoming as collectible as her artwork is.
Thankfully her images have placed me in that ethereal Gothic mood that I was longing for. I can picture one of these beauties as the main character of my new work. Thank goodness and thank you LostFish!

Very nice work.
